Overview

Preventing Major Accident Events (MAEs) is a crucial responsibility for all of us. Effective hazard management in our business begins with comprehensive hazard identification across all relevant activities. This includes conducting risk assessments, identifying appropriate and sufficient safeguards, and continuously monitoring their effectiveness to ensure that the risk levels are always maintained As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP). A key focus of this course is about managing MAEs by using process safety principles in various steps, also featuring diagrammatic representations of safeguards and its performance standards, which everyone can easily understand the importance of the work they are responsible for or being a part of. Additionally, the PTTEP framework, according to the Process Safety Management Standard (Document No. 11038-STD-SSHE-403), encompasses 21 elements, lessons learned from past incidents, and best practices aimed at enhancing safety, with our ultimate goal for being a Zero Incident Organization.
