Basic Telecommunication Engineering

This course is designed for who wish to gain a fundamental understanding of telecom engineering. It offers a clear and practical introduction. By the end of the course, learners will: 

• understand basic communication principles.
• provide and enhance understanding of telecommunication fundamentals.

This course consists of 4 modules as follows:

1. Telecommunication for Safety and Security

This module will introduce telecommunication systems that are related to safety and security. It will cover basic knowledge of various telecommunication systems, as well as the basic design principles.

2. Wire Communication and Networking

This module will focus on wired communication systems and networking. It will explain the basics of wired communication systems and networks, including information about different types of cables used and the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) Model.

3. Wireless & Radio Communication System

This module will introduce wireless communication and radio systems. It will cover the basic theories behind radio systems and examples of wireless communication technologies, along with the foundational principles of these technologies.

4. Digital Microwave and Satellite Communication

The final module will give additional knowledge on data communication through digital microwave systems and satellite communication, providing an understanding of these technologies.
