Overview 

This course provides fundamental concepts in hazardous area classification, the basic knowledge in explosion-proof installation, hazardous area types of protection, national code of practice, including selection, installation, maintenance and use of equipment in hazardous areas. 

Objectives 

As a result of this training, the participant should be able to: 

• Give a better understanding of the risks related to the design, construction and operation of oil & gas processing facilities 
• Apply the appropriate hazardous area classification, codes, standards and recommended practices 
• Establish the degree and extent of Hazardous location within oil, gas and petrochemical facility. 
• Proper design and select the equipment and instrument for hazardous area.
