Overview

This course introduces the fundamental concepts of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) with a focus on its relevance to drilling and well servicing operations. CCS is a critical technology for mitigating global warming, and both Thailand and PTTEP are actively committed to its advancement. Key topics include CO₂ storage mechanisms, well classifications, and global CCS project benchmarks.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Describe the strategic drivers and obligations related to CCS, including an overview of PTTEP’s CCS initiatives.
• Monitor global CCS projects to stay informed on regulatory developments and emerging best practices.
• Explain the architecture of CCS wells, highlighting key design considerations and associated challenges.
