1.    Introduction to Environmental Impact Assessment for Exploration and Production (E&P)

·      Phases and activities in Environmental Impact Assessment

·      Environmental Impact Assessment definition

·      Legislation, approval authorities and timelines

2.    Environmental Impact Assessment Process

·      Screening: determine the type of study required (e.g. IEE, EIA, SEM, DEA, etc.)

·      Scoping: Identify the potential significant impacts and define study boundary

·      Assessment:

o  Existing Environment: Provide reference point against any future change

o  Impact Assessment: Analyze the potential impact

o  Mitigation: Eliminate or reduce negative impacts

3.    Environmental Management Plan (EMP)

·      Document component

·      Key mitigation measures and monitoring programs

4.    Stakeholder Management and Post-environmental Impact Assessment Activities.

·      Stakeholder management process in environment impact assessment (identification, prioritization, engagement, monitoring, and evaluation)

·      Compliance audit and environmental monitoring

·      Management of change to environmental impact assessment or EMP

·      Non-compliance and penalties
