Course Objectives

• To be able to understand the occupational health management in PTTEP’s operation
• To be able to describe the reason for and apply health risk assessment (HRA) in the day-to-day operation
• To be able to describe the procedures and monitoring required for industrial hygiene, in particular, noise and vibration, chemical agents, and biological agents
• To describe the basic requirement for the management of ill health in an operating unit
• To describe the fitness-to-work practice and strategy, and identify the responsibilities of line managers
• To identify the medical surveillance measures for each job position in alignment with the Health Risk Assessment (HRA) for the purpose of health monitoring
• To promote health and well-being in the workplace through the implementation of appropriate management measures for the establishment
• To identify the medical emergency requirement and develop medical emergency response plan (MERP) for an operational unit
• To identify and manage emerging and existing vector-borne and infectious diseases
• To establish measures for the identification and management of fatigue and to clearly define the roles and responsibilities of line managers in its prevention and control
• To explain the principle of HIA and how to apply it in the developing project, and understand the importance of engaging internal and external stakeholders
• To understand the health reporting system and the application of health record management
• To describe the public health management and to be able to develop health prevention and health promotion program
