Advanced Details: Detail can be a noun, a verb, or an adjective
We are lucky that so many of us need to use the English word detail because it is a very versatile word. However, we need to be careful of the grammar. Study the interesting ways that we can write “detail” in our PTTEP documents:
- The attachment contains many details of the revised structure. Detail = plural noun
- One detail of the revised structure is very important for us to remember. Detail = singular noun
- The brochure showed the revised structure in great detail. Detail = within a prepositional phrase
- The manager detailed the revised structure in an excellent technical drawing. Detail = verb
- The detailed (revised) structure can be found in the attachment. Detail = adjective
