Online Course

Advanced DetailsDetail can be a noun, a verb, or an adjective

We are lucky that so many of us need to use the English word detail because it is a very versatile word. However, we need to be careful of the grammar. Study the interesting ways that we can write “detail” in our PTTEP documents:

  • The attachment contains many details of the revised structure. Detail = plural noun
  • One detail of the revised structure is very important for us to remember. Detail = singular noun
  • The brochure showed the revised structure in great detail. Detail = within a prepositional phrase
  • The manager detailed the revised structure in an excellent technical drawing. Detail = verb
  • The detailed (revised) structure can be found in the attachment. Detail = adjective
